Violin Concerto was composed for the American violinist Bella Hristova and the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra. It was premiered on 31 May 2012 in the Dunedin Town Hall, conducted by Tecwyn Evans.
The premiere was recorded for broadcast by RNZ Concert.
A video of the performance was made by SOUNZ Centre for New Zealand Music, and is available online.
