Description:
The incidental music for Ring Round the Moon was commissioned by Richard Campion for the New Zealand players in 1953. Described as a charade with music, the play was a Christopher Fry translation of L'Invitation au Château by Jean Anouith. This suite of dances taken from the incidental music was first performed by the Alex Lindsay Orchestra, conducted by Alex Lindsay, in 1957, and recorded by them on Kiwi/Pacific Ld-3.
